The unending misery and suffering of fellow citizens touched the heart of this Mahatma (great soul). His clothing was representative of his half-naked, starving brothers. For the sake of pathetic helpless, his hands reached out for a unique weapon - The Charkha

The wheel of charkha turned, gathered momemtum, fuelled by (drawing strength from) the moral strength of this Mahatma. That was the moment that the charkha became a symbol of the light for Indian independence as also a means of karmayog (Discipline of Action) for the patriots. For the Indian, it is therefore a mark of commitment, devotion and sacrifice. But has it been reduced to a mere symbol and nothing more? Certainly not! The wheel of the Mahatma's charkha is in fact gathering speed and spinning at reassuring and definite pace.

A detailed overview, right from the struggle for independence to this moment of the social and the economic turns caused by the wheel of the charkha in ....

The New Year Special Issue of Dainik Pratyaksha' that Traces a Journey'...

The Charkha
- All that it was, that it is and that it will be.

Every Special Issue of Pratyaksha generally has a custom that the opening write-up of it is normally written by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu, Himself. Accordingly readers are requested to secure their copies from their local newspaper vendors in advance to take maximum advantage of this great opportunity.

P.P. Sadguru Bapu's Important Announcement on Thursday 24th December 2009 Regarding Vardhaman Vratadhiraj

This year Vardhaman Vratadhiraj will be ending before start of the New Year. This situation will arise every 19 years. In this case, P.P. Sadguru Bapu has advised to do Udyapan of the Vardhaman Vratadhiraj as per the normal schedule of 30 days, and to do additional 5 times chanting of your selected Vratapushpa on 1st January of the New Year. With this, New Year will be included in your Vardhaman Vratadhiraj and you will receive the blessings for the same. For this additional chanting on 1st January, other rules of Vardhaman Vratadhiraj will not be mandatory.

*** Further there is one clarification to be made with approval from Happy Home authorities about the darshan of 9 temples that has to be done during Vardhaman Vratadhiraj. Under this the visit made to Hari Guru Gram on Thursdays or any other day on which the Aniruddha Upasana Trust officially celebrates some religious occassion e.g. Datta Jayanti Utsav would be counted as one darshan. ***

Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Upasana Centre Borivali East (affiliated to Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Upasana Trust) is pleased to inform you that a BLOOD DONATION CAMP would be arranged on the Upasana Centre on Sunday, 20th December 2009.

Why to donate blood ???

1) Its best for your health

>>> Blood donation is a unique donation.
>>> Our body contains approximately 4.5 – 5 litres of blood out of which only 300ml blood is withdrawn. Immediately after donation, within 2 – 3 hours our body produces new blood cells and thus the blood in the body gets refreshed. Thus donating blood helps in stimulating generation of new blood cells and thereby increasing our fitness and immune system of our body.
>>> Blood Donation helps reduce chances of heart attack to one-third.

2) Param Poojya Bapu likes it the most…

As we all know it’s the time when we all Shraddhavans celebrate Vardhaman Vrathdhiraj and as per Param Poojya Bapu this is the time when we should donate something. Donation done during these times does 10 times more good to our destiny than donation at any other times. There can’t be a better donation than donating blood.
>>> Moreover, Bapu has called the drop of donated blood as one of the ten drops He loves he most.

3) Its the best form of gift you can give to society and humanity…
The Annual blood requirement of Mumbai city itself is about 2.5 – 3 Lakhs of bottles. Thus by donating blood we can share this load and serve humanity.

So guys what are we thinking about ??? Let’s step out and donate our valuable droplets of Blood. Your Valuable blood can save one’s life…

**** A kind request to all to give their maximum support for this Camp by donating their valued blood and also by helping spreading the word. ****

The above enclosed image is of Dattastavan Stotram that is recited during the Upasana at Hari Guru Gram on all Thursdays. P. P. Bapu while specifically mentioning the importance of this stotra (religious verse) brought one point to notice of all the bhktas that on other stotra except this Dattastavanstotram start with words bhoot (ghost), pret (dead body), pishacchya (unholy spirit). Further P. P. Bapu said that this stotra destroys all these evil forces and protects all the bhaktas who recite this stotra from these unnatural powers. Every Thursday Param Poojya Samirdada recites this verse. (Viewers can click on the image above to see the enlarged copy and to download the soft copy of the same).

Sukh Savarni (a religious ritual) would be held in front of Trivikram. The poojan and event would be carried by either Param Poojya Nandai or Param Poojya Suchitdada or Param Poojya Samirdada or Respected Swapnilsinh or Respected Paurassinh. If Param Poojya Bapu is travelling on any particular Thursday then Sukh Savarni won't be conducted. Portrait of Ek Mukhi (one faced) Lord Dattatrey would be kept behind Trivikram during Sukh Savarni. One can demand fulfillment of his/ her wish (which is pure in its form and concept), one can confess, one can decide on any particular topic or action he has to take during this ritual. Extreme Importance of TRIVIKRAM launched by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu During Aniruddha Poornima Festival

The following write up is the extract from the speech of Maha-dharma-varman Dr. Yogindrasinh Joshi's Aniruddha Poornima speech where he has clearly described the origin and importance of TRIVIKRAM.

Trivikram is Anirruddha Himself, the Omkar, the Paramshiv, the Mahavishnu. It is the Gun Pratik (symbol) of Lord Harihar. Tri means three and Vikram means victory or to win over. Trivikram wins the entire universe in just three steps. Trivikram further means One who accomplishes various victories. Aniruddha bears the form of Trivikram. Lord Parmatma as Aniruddha has taken form of TRIVIKRAM to throw open His Nav-Ankur-Aishwaryas (Nine Forms of divine virtues) to His children i.e. Shraddhavans.

Why does Aniruddha have to take this form?
It is because we as humans have been steadily blocking His way of entering our lives because of various Pradnya Aparadhs (breach of guidelines laid down by Lord Parmeshwar i.e. Lord Dattaguru of Satya, Prem and Anand). So to widen this road, Aniruddha has to take this form.

Trivikram is the support for all the Shraddhavans. It enhances the principle of 'Pavitrya Hech Praman' (Purity is the only Reference). Trivikram kills evil, propagates and enhances the righteousness and establishes Maryada. Trivikram makes life beautiful and mannered. Trivikram is Prem-agni i.e. pure form of love. One can worhship TRIVIKRAM however he wants with pure bhav.

Physical Description of TRIVIKRAM:
(Please refer the photograph of Trivikram attached above)

>>> Trivikram has a grey base called Dharmasan. Dharmasan represents purity.

>>> Above it there are two pink flowers of lotus supported by strings. These flowers have 9 petals.
The right string represents Pingala nadi (central cerebral cord) in the human body which stands for Sun and His warmth and also represents river Yamuna. This cord also represents love of Goddess Mahishasurmardini.
The left string represents the Ida Nadi which stands for the moon and his calmness and also represents Goddess (river) Ganga or Ganges. (Both these cerebral cords originate from Cerebellum i.e. the lower part of the brain and end at the coccygeal area i.e. the bottom-most part of spinal cord. This cord also represents love of Goddess Anusaya.
There is also the third cord which stays invisible called Sushumna which represents love of Goddess Gayatri.

>>> Enclosed between these strings of lotuses is the black colored, pole-shaped structure called Vajradand. Vajradand represents love. This is the support of the Universe, support of all the Shraddhavans.

>>> Above this Vajradand is placed another flower of lotus called Vajrakamal which again has 9 petals. This Navdal Kamal represents Goddess Jagdamba who is completely filled with divine brightness. The 9 petals represent Navvidh Nirdhar (9 fundamentals) and 9 Saman Nishthas (Equal Considerations) of all the Shraddhavans as given by P. P. Bapu in Shreemad Purushartha Grantharaj.

>>> Between these strings of lotuses and the Vajradand but immediately above the Dharmasan there are two circular discs. Right one of Blood Red color and left with Turmeric Yellow color which represent Sun and Moon respectively. Sun represents Truth, it represents Jathar-agni (energy in stomach) in the human body and Moon represents happiness, it represents Dyanan-agni (zeal to learn).

>>> The three colors found in TRIVIKRAM i.e. Red, Yellow and Black represent Kumkum, Turmeric and Abir or bukka which are considered extremely pure elements.

>>> This Trivikram is a figure complete in itself.

The blossoming of the petals of this Navdal lotus of TRIVIKRAM in our body would be proportional to the blossoming of our Bhav (thinking and considerations of our mind about love and faith towards the Lord).

As described above the 3 steps which TRIVIKRAM takes in our life are:
1) Akaran Karunya i.e. Unconditional and unreasoned love
2) Kshama i.e. forgiveness
3) Acceptance of Sharanya (complete surrender at Lord's feet)

Accordingly the three steps that we need to take to reciprocate Trivikram are:
1) Dhyan i.e. Devotion towards Trivikram
2) Chintan / Abhyass i.e. study and practice of what is proposed by Lord
3) Dhyas i.e. only one wish that I want Him (Lord)

These 3 steps can also be defined as:
1) I am Your's
2) I am only Your's
3) Forever I am only Your's .
(Here I represents worshipper and You his Lord)

What is the Need of TRIVIKRAM ?
>>> Lord Paramshiv's symbol is Pindi, likewise Aniruddha is symbolically represented by this TRIVIKRAM.

>>> Any divine idol of Lord always needs periodic charging but TRIVIKRAM is the charge in itself. There is no need to do its Pratishthapana or establish it. He is self established.

>>> TRIVIKRAM endows upon us pure bhav and also increases it.

>>> One who worships this TRIVIKRAM with love gets automatically connected to it.

>>> Through this TRIVIKRAM Aniruddha demands our under-developed lotus and endows us with His fully developed lotus.

>>> TRIVIKRAM would end the worshippers' punishments i.e. his dush-prarabhda.

>>> TRIVIKRAM is the gini (divine power) who grants all your righteous wishes at the earliest.

Finally as a delight for everyone P. P. Bapu said that this TRIVIKRAM would be soon available to everyone to be worshipped at their homes in form of replicas, as lockets to be wore in neck, etc. But worshipping this TRIVIKRAM in its original form is the best. TRIVIKRAM would be worshipped on every Thursday at Hari Guru Gram in between the Marathi and Hindi discourse given by Bapu. The worship would be called Sukhasavarni.

Above is the image of an article that has appeared in English daily Afternoon News on 25th November 2009 about an extremely great but stunning experience of one of the followers during the horrifying times of 26/11 or the night of 26th November 2008 (last year) when the Pakistani terroroists struck Mumbai.

The article elaborates a stunning story of a follower, Anisha Chaudhary who was at Cafe Leopold during the attack. Her chanting of 'Datta Mala Mantra' conferred on her by her Sadguru, Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu was what stood between her and bullets of terrorists.

Discourse by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu on 8th October 2009

On the Thursday, 8th October 2009, Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu delivered His discourse as usual again at New English High School grounds at Bandra East, Mumbai.

To every body’s surprise P. P. Aniruddha Bapu announced a completely novel, beautiful and a changed program schedule of all the upasanas that are conducted on all Thursdays. The implementation of this program has started from Thursday, 5th November 2009.

P. P. Bapu further specified the entire changed itenary of Upasanas on Thursdays as follows:

>>> Upasana would start exactly at 7 : 00 pm.

>>> As earlier, the two Beej (Basis) Mantras of Aniruddha Upasana Trust i.e. “Om Krupasindhu Shri Sai Nathaya Namah” & “Om Abhayadata Shri Swami Samarthaya Namah” would be chanted as usual for 24 times and 14 times respectively at the very start of the Upasana.

>>> Instead of Hanuman Kavach (that used to be recited so far) another Mantra of Lord Hanumant “Om Shri Ramadootaya, Hanumantaya, Mahapranaya, Mahabalaya Namo Namah” would be chanted.

>>> Aradhana Jyoti 14 : would also be chanted during Upasana:
ll Om Namo Hanumate Rudravataraya Par-Yantra-Mantra-Tratak-Nashakaya Sarva-jwar-cchedakaya Sarva-vyadhi-nikruntakaya Sarva-bhaya-prashamanaya Sarva-dushtamukh-stambhanaya Sarva-karyasiddhi-pradaya Ramdootaya Swaha ll

>>> Datta-Stavan Stotra would also be chanted. (The hard copy of the same would be available for free for all the devotees in Shri Kshetra Aniruddha Gurukshetram).

>>> All these recitations would last for about 20 - 22 minutes.

>>> Marathi Pravachan (Discourse) on Vishnu Sahastranaam would start at sharp 7 : 20 pm

>>> Gajars would start at 8 : 15 pm and end at 8 : 40 pm

>>> Aarti (" Aarti Saibaba ...") would start at 8 : 45 pm.

>>> Darshan would start at 9 : 05 pm and continue till 10 : 15 pm

>>> Hindi Pravachan on Shri Sai Sat Charitra would start at 10 : 20 pm. (Every Thursday Bapu would speak on one individual Aadhyay (chapter) of Shir Sai Sat Charitra).

>>> Finally the program would end with Aarti ("Om Sai Shri Sai Jai Jai Sairam ...").

>>> The newly inaugurated Trivikram would be displayed for darshan in the basement area of Hari Guru Gram during rains and on ground at other times. This Trivikram would be the Guna-pratik (Symbol of Character), Samarthya-pratik (Symbol of Strength), Aadhyatma-pratik (Symbol of Sprituality) of Aniruddha Upasana Trust as its Drushya-pratik (Visual Symbol) is Flag and Dhwani-pratik (Vocal Symbol) is "Hari Om". This would rest at Shri Kshetra Aniruddha Gurukshetram for other times.

>>> Sukh Savarni would be held in front of this Trivikram. The poojan and event would be carried by Param Poojya Nandai or Param Poojya Suchitdada or Param Poojya Samirdada or Respected Swapnilsinh or Respected Paurassinh.

>>> From now on at whichever venue, Thursday's Pravachan and Upasanas would be carried, would be referred as Hari Guru Gram. (So in the current scenario New English School in Bandra (East) where these activities are carried would be referred as Hari Guru Gram).
*** No Shraddhavan should refer it as Pravachan Sthal (Venue) or New English High School but should be referred only as Hari Guru Gram ***

>>> Hari Guru Gram would be from now on considered at par with other Upasana Centres across the globe.

>>> P. P. Samirdada and Respected Swapnilsinh would function as Pramukh Sevaks (Chief Volunteer) for this Centre.

>>> The Karyakarini (Managing Committee) of this Centre would include the two Chief Executive Officers of the Trust along with the Pramukh Sevaks. (Currently Sunilsinh Mantri and Maheshsinh Zantye).

>>> Thursday's Upasana would be little different from Upasana's conducted on local centre's on Saturday's but over and above would have a structure similar as Saturday's upasanas.

>>> Volunteers will have to mark their Sign-in and Sign-out timings compulsorily while entering the Hari Guru Gram and also while leaving them.

>>> In case some volunteer has to leave Upasana in middle, he /she will have to take necessary permission from his / her Seva Coordinator.

>>> If any of the volunteers would not be in position to attend Upasana on 3 consecutive Thursday's then they will have to inform in writing about the same to their respective Seva Coordinator preferably in advance. (This letter can be given even after one has rejoined the seva but couldn't give it before time because of some unscheduled reason).

>>> If any volunteer out of no genuine reason does not attend Upasana for continuous 3 Thursdays then his batch will be suspended.

>>> Arrangement would be made for Volunteers to take Paddya (Feet) Sparsha of Sadguru. (Arrangement for making Paddya (Feet) Sparsha of Sadguru available for bhaktas would be soon be unveiled.

>>> Soon structure of Upasana conducted on Saturday's at local Upasana Centres would also undergo a change. Bapu promised bhaktas that He would reintroduce what they have been missing in the last changed upasana. He would give them what they like and what they want.

>>> CD of Thursday's discourse by Bapu would be played on all the Upasana Centres on Saturdays.

>>> Bapu also declared that Trust is busy rolling out films on Life and Works of Great Saints viz., Meenavahini, Chaubal Ajoba, Sadhanatai, etc.

While describing the inclusion of “Om Shri Ramadootaya Hanumantaya ..." mantra P. P. Bapu explained that in His complete life He has never searched for Lord Hanumant outside, as He felt His presence inside Him. Incidentally this is the favourite mantra of P. P. Bapu’s human mentor (Sadguru) Shri. Gopinath Shastri-Padhye. Further the icing on cake is that, this mantra was being continuously chanted during P. P. Bapu’s birth by His grandmother. Also this mantra is impregnated and imparts all the 8 purusharthas described by P. P. Bapu to the recitor. This mantra is also filled with complete surrender (sampoorna sharanya) towards Sadguru. This mantra’s order of composition is exactly similar to the order in which one receives blessings (krupa) from the Lord. The entire journey of an individual is imbibed in this mantra. Bapu said that this mantra is a side-effectless medicine.

Speaking more about Lord Hanumant, Bapu further explained importance of Ramdoot (Representative of Lord Ram) i. e. Lord Hanumant. He said that one experiences Trupti (satisfaction) in his life only because of this Ramdoot. Bapu further examplied how Lord Hanumant comes to our help and how we should notice His arrival. Whenever one suddenly remembers some forgotten answer while writing some examination it should be immediately recognised that Lord Parmatma has sent His Ramdoot, Lord Hanumant for help our help. Similarly whenever someone suddenly applies brakes which actual averts an accident then this also should be taken as a sign of Ramdoot's arrival. Person's quick-wittedness and street-smartness is also because of Lord Hanumant.

While describing the inclusion of Dattastavan Stotra Bapu narrated the story of how the mantra evolved. While Lord Nrusinh Saraswati was staying with Lord Dattatrey He used to chat with Him many a times at night. One day Lord Nrusinh said to Lord Dattatrey that the goal of His life was coming to an end and hence before returning in His original form He wanted to build kavach (protective armour) of His children (devotees). This routine was observed for continuous 29 days. Finally Lord Dattatrey kept His hand on Lord Nrusinh and recited a mantra. This mantra is referred as Dattastavan Stotra. Bapu while further explaining importance of this stotra said that none of the holy recitations start with words bhoot, pisach but this stotra does start with these word. This mantra actually imparts power to fight these unholy powers. Bapu also explained a story of Lord Dattatrey and Sahastrarjun. At the end of the story Bapu explained that Lord Nrusinh has written a stotra describing this Sahastrarjun, who was shishya (disciple) of Lord Dattatrey. One who recites this stotra gets everything He has lost. Bapu further explained by raising a question that if a stotra of a shishya of Lord Dattatrey can make such a huge difference then what difference would reciting stotra of Lord Dattatrey Himself would make?

Discourse by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu on 1st October 2009

On the Thursday of 1st October 2009, Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu delivered His discourse as usual again at New English High School grounds at Bandra East, Mumbai. The discourse centred on what bhav (thinking) should one have in his mind while visiting Aniruddha Gurukshetram and also why should one read the newly published book on Goddess Mahishasurmardini Mata titled Matruvatsalya (Motherly love) Vindanam authored by P. P. Aniruddha Bapu.

P. P. Bapu started His discourse by explaining importance of rules in our life. Bapu appealed to everyone to abide by the rules to the maximum possible extent as they regulate our life. But Bapu further said that God always rates Bhav (love and faith) above rules. Further Bapu explained that Krupa (God's blessings) is dependent on Bhav of devotee. Finally Bapu explained that God exempts His devotee (who tries to abide by His rules and laws to the maximum) when it actually comes to enforcing the rules but enforces them forcefully on all those who try to take maximum advantage of His love by breaking the rules and finding loop holes in them. (Here rule doesn't only mean legal, constitutional rules laid down by governments but also the rules laid down and explained by the Lord).

Further Bapu explained what does Yam and Chitragupt signify in one's life. Traditionally it is believed that Yam is the God of Death and his doots (messengers) come to humans at the time of their death to snatch the life out of our body. But Bapu said that the Yam actually signifies Parmeshwari Ichha (divine plan). Yam signifies the refereshing of human soul that is done by Lord before giving rebirth to that soul in a new bodily form.

Then Bapu explained meaning of Chitragupt. Traditionally it is believed that Chitragupt is the divine Accountant who knows all the good and bad deeds that one has performed during his life. He gives this tally of one's life to Yam when the soul comes to him after death. The name Chitragupt is self explanatory in itself, the one who can also see the hidden (gupt) picture (chitra) is Chitragupt. To this Bapu explained that Chitragupt signifies the reminder left over after the tally of good and bad deeds performed during living life by a person.

Further Bapu clarified the misconception, confusion and fear that surrounds and fills the minds of general people that 'Lord gets angry and causes harm to us when we do not abide by the promise we have made to Him'. Bapu firmly stated that the one who gets angry and harms would not be fits to be God because God never harms anybody out of His anger. Bapu examplified it and explained that even a human mother would also not harm her child out of her anger then how could this Divine Mother, your Lord, harm you? Yes the Lord gets angry but only where there is no bhakti (worship). If one worships any pure forms of Lord (e.g. Lord Sai Baba, Lord Swami Samarth, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Parshuram, Lord Vitthal, Lord Jagannath, Lord Venkatesh, Lord Dattaguru, Lord Dattatrey, Lord Nrusinh Saraswati, Lord Hanumant, Goddess Gayatri Mata, Goddess Anusaya Mata, Goddess Mahishasurmardini Mata, Lord Mahavishnu, Lord Paramshiv, Goddess Mahalaxmi, Goddess Mahakali, Goddess Mahasaraswati or your Sadguru) then we should not have fear of Lord inflicting any harm on us.

Further Bapu explained what bhav one should have in his heart when visiting Shree Kshetra Aniruddha Gurukshetram. Bapu said that while taking darshan of Goddess Mahishasurmardini at Aniruddha Gurukshetram one should always think that She is my mother or atleast that She is my beloved Bapu's mother and Bapu is my, my own. Aniruddha Gurukshetram has two Goddess viz., Goddess Anusaya who signifies love and is eveready to sing praise about Her children and the other being Goddess Mahishasurmardini who signifies end of evil and is eveready for defending Her children from evil.

P.P. Bapu explained that reading the book Matruvatsalya Vindanam would definitely benefit the reader (in bettering his life and eliminating all his troubles). Bapu also stressed the importance of reading the book especially during Navratri festival. (In the book Bapu explains that this book is the praise and love of Goddess Mahishasurmardini. Bapu also believes that the Goddess would sit next to the reader to listen to him and reciprocate it by showering her blessings on the reader as all the devotees are Her children).

Finally before winding up His discourse Bapu explained the meaning of Dadhichi (who was a great saint and a teacher). Bapu said that Dadhichi was so pure that Vajra which is the weapon used by Lord Indra, the king of divine universal powers (shivatme) is made from the bone ash of Sage Dadhichi. Vajra can never be broken or harmed by any other weapon and is believed to the deadliest weapon for destruction of evil. The part of mind that has been converted to the purest form called Chitta is referred as Vajra. Bapu then said that Sage Dadhichi signifies whole hearted worship and completely devotion (bhav). Bapu also referred to Lord Hanumant Who is called as Vajrang (Body made from Vajra) and again cleared one confusion of masses about the multiple heads that are seen affixed to torsos of Lord Dattaguru, Lord Hanumant (Panchmukhi Hanumant), etc. Bapu said that these Gods practically and biologically do not have 3, 5 or more heads attached to their torsos but these multiple heads are attached and visible only on the aesthetic, divine level.

Finally at the end of discourse P.P. Bapu appealed to all the devotees to try to abide by His principles, rules, thoughts and sayings and He would guarantee them that their life won't be a waste and death would be utilized.

Discourse by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu on 24th September 2009

On the Thursday of 24th September 2009, P. P. Bapu delivered His discourse as usual again at New English High School ground at Bandra (East), Mumbai. Bapu gave a big surprise everyone taking into consideration the need of the hour and the veiled threat of World War - III that is approaching very fast and silently with the launch of website for Aniruddha's Academy of Disaster Management better known as A.A.D.M. The website was launched by Aadya-Pipa Govindsinh Dabholkar on behalf of P. P. Aniruddha Bapu in His presence.

Readers can check for more information by logging on to http://www.aniruddhasadm.com/

Further Bapu began with His discourse, which was entirely focused on "Why and how could one become a Responsible Parent".

Bapu said that it is the general human tendancy to get attracted towards crowd. To justify this Bapu gave example of a two doctors; one with heavy crowd and other with no crowd at all. As a parent we would offcourse take our child to the doctor with heavy crowd even if that means waiting for few hours. And from here Bapu begins His tutorial on Responsible Parenthood.

Bapu said that we get attracted to crowd because we want security (Suraksha) and esteem (Pratishtha). Bapu said that this is where we humans make a mistake and wrongly choose esteem over security. Bapu gave an example over here. These days many Mumbaikars are moving out of their traditional and secured homes from Dadar, Parel, etc and are settling in esteemed, posh suburbs. Bapu is never against progress, but Bapu said that we need to evaluate the two factors mentioned above very carefully before taking any decision. Bapu said that because of false esteem man always sacrifices his security. Bapu again gave explicit examples over here and said that attending late night parties, drugging, drinking, smoking, etc is now these days considered as esteem.

Bapu further laid down a very, very important principle. Bapu said that parents should trust their children 99% and not 100% if they have to be responsible and feel that their children should progress on right path without any obstacles. Again Bapu gave an example over here and said that parents should definitely check the internet surfing log of their children if they are sitting on internet at late night. This should be done to see if your child is unknowingly not falling prey to sex rackets or is not accessing pornographic sites, as teenagers at their age feel attracted to these things. This makes them vulnerable and they may unknowingly fall prey to things which are hidden at the back of these sites like sex rackets or certain hypnotic sites.

Bapu said that parents should establish such relations with their children that even if the children get entangled in some problem arising out of their wrong act they (Children) should not fear to approach you, open up and tell their problems. Bapu said that the relationship between most of the children and parents these days are not as open as mentioned here and hence when children get entangled in some wrong thing they dont get the confidence of approaching their parents as they would not find the solution but would only be end up being thrashed and at some instances even thrown out of the house. Bapu said that this should not happen. If your child gets stuck somewhere then he should have to confidence to approach you and you should also assist him to get out of that problem.

Bapu further said that look at your children as Most-Obedient-Child and not as Most-Obedient-Slave / Prisoner.

Bapu said that parents try to fulfill all the wishes of their children thinking that my child should get all that I couldn't get in my childhood or teenage. Bapu said that this thinking is absolutely wrong. To justify this Bapu again gave an example over here. Bapu said that parents should not say Yes to every demand of their children. This should be done because when these children step in the outside materialistic world they perpetually hear "No" to their various desires and plans and then this leads to frustration which ends in acts like acid attacks, suicides, etc.

Bapu further critisized the reason given by many parents that they dont have time to look after their children. Bapu said that saying, "I have no time", is the biggest lie in the world. Bapu pointed out that because off this tendency the number of boarding schools are going up in the society. Bapu frankly said that the parents who give this reason incase of their children are not even fit to be parents.

For children, Bapu also said that if the child feels embarrassed when his mother feeds him in front of others or his friends then he is wrong. Bapu said that this is the act of sheer love and not lower-class act as termed by few so-called white-collared people.

Now, Bapu came back to the topic of Disaster Management which he had introduced at the very start of the discourse while launching the A.A.D.M. website and linked it with the topic of Responsible Parenthood. Bapu said that being a responsible parent is also a form of Disaster Management. By being a responsible parent we are avoiding the disaster from happening in life of your children.

Further Bapu specifically mentioned that reciting Hanuman Chalisa three times daily with your children is the best form of disaster management one could do in his child's life.

Finally terminating the discourse Bapu quoted the famous saying

"Asel Maza Hari Tar Deil Khatlya Vari"
(If there is Lord, then he would fulfill my wishes without I doing anything or taking any efforts).

is offcourse true. Lord (Hari) is always eager to give His child with the most best things of the world but for that firstly Hari has to be mine i.e. i have do completely as He says with complete surrender. But the main reason as to why we should not depend on this saying is Lord would become more happy seeing His child become strong.

This blog posting is with reference to the earlier blog posting dated 14th September 2009 which was a editorial (Agralekh) that had appeared in daily Pratyaksha on 31st August 2009. The article was written by P. P. Aniruddha Bapu Himself and focused on 9 principles that P. P. Bapu expects all the Shraddhavans to follow.

The following is the extract from Grantharaj Shreemad Purushartha (literary form of Lord Parmatma) which is written by P. P. Aniruddha Bapu Himself.

(Being in Gokul is referred as निरंतर सख्य) .

Discourse by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu on 26th August 2009

On the Thursday of 26th August 2009, Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu delivered His discourse as usual again at New English High School ground at Bandra East, Mumbai.

Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu’s discourse revolved around importance of Establishing Goddess Gauri at our Homes during the time of Ganesh Festival (from the fifth to seventh day of the festival).

Bapu said that Goddess Gauri likes whatever we offer to her from our heart rather than offering her any specific foodstuffs.

Bapu said that offering Goddess, liquor is totally wrong. Holy texts mention Sura to be offered to the Goddess, which actually means Madhu-Parka (a mixture of one bowl of curd, 3 bowls of milk, 3 spoonfuls of ghee, 1 spoonful of honey and 1 spoonful of sugar), which Goddess likes a lot and not liquor as most of us have wrongfully taken it.

Bapu said that the liquor you offer never reaches Goddess but it ends up as an offering to the negative, evil forces. Then when we make some mistake in this offering, the negative forces get enraged and as a result try to inflict harm on us. When this harm is inflicted we feel that Goddess has got angry. But actually Goddess never gets angry, as we all are her children and She never gets angry with her children.

Bapu said that Goddess Gauri is Goddess Annapurna. Goddess Annapurna controls the entire Food Cycle in the human body. The food that we eat is responsible for development of our Mind (Manah) and body. The Goddess filters the food before letting it into our body. The Goddess fosters the positives factors in the food once they enter our body and diminishes the effects of negative factors in it.

Bapu further said that one should never insult Goddess Annapurna. The following are the ways is which one can cause insult to the Goddess.

Don’ts while eating food:
1) By wasting the food, consuming the food in excess (over and above than our appetite) and by expressing dislike for some particular foodstuffs. Neither should one blame the food for its taste or any other property nor should one try to classify and blame it on religious or castiest backgrounds.
2) Moreover one should not be engrossed in negative thinking while having food.

Do’s while eating food:

1) The food should be served with love and affection.
2) Continuously chanting the name of the Lord (as much as possible) while eating.
3) Atleast, reciting Lord’s name once with every morsel is very important.

Bapu said that with this chanting the thinking of the person would undergo a positive metamorphosis. Also it will enhance the positive effects of the food on the body and will aid immensely in digestion process.

Further Bapu went on to explain the importance of laying imprints of palms (Hasta-Mudras) on the walls of our house on the day of Gauri Pujan. Bapu asked everyone why are the imprints laid on the walls only, why not on the ceiling or the flooring? To this Bapu explain that the walls of any house signify the boundaries of the homeliness. Wall represents the eldest person of the family.

Bapu further went on to explain the meaning of homeliness. Bapu said whenever one feels the strong urge to return home (after he has finished his work for which he had stepped out of the house) that is defined as homeliness. Bapu gave a small recitation a famous Marathi song over here – Ghar (Hawk) hindate akashi, lakshya tiche pillanpashi. To establish and enhance this homeliness one should involve himself in the domestic chores, go on an outing with family members, eat food together, etc. Bapu said that one might hit his children if they go wrong, but the thrashing should be proportional and should not be out of your unsatisfied or hurt ego.

So one should pray to Goddess Gauri that everyone in my house should be full with this feeling of homeliness. One should further pray to the Goddess that let your blessings always be with our house.

Staying together in one single house may also require sacrifice (tyag) to be performed. Sacrifice (ethical) done by anyone for anyone, never goes waste, as any sacrifice performed reaches the Parmatma.

Bapu further made one fact bare. If one feels that these imprints are defacing his house, then that person is not fit and doesn’t deserve to celebrate this festival at all. Bapu said one should never be embarrassed about the beauty, education, facing, financial condition of his parents (atleast).

Here Bapu exemplified this with one of the stories’ of his doctor friend. His friend was a native of Uttar Pradesh and was famous across Mumbai. On the day of his marriage, during the reception party he had made a special arrangement of the seating of his mother who was a village rustic and hardly could speak any other language except her native language. Still, the doctor never got embarrassed about her attire, beauty, education, background, etc but rather honored her by making her sit in front row, that also amongst his friend circle, which was very sophisticated and urban.

P. P. Bapu finally closed his discourse making everyone remember one religious verse “Nupekshite Kadapi Ramo Dasabhimani” which means that Lord has the ego only of his devotees (children).

Discourse by Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu on 23th July 2009

On the Thursday of 23rd July 2009, Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu delivered His discourse as usual again at New English High School ground at Bandra East, Mumbai.

During His discourse, Bapu throughout described His Mother, Goddess Mahishasurmardini who would manifest Herself in form of an idol at Shree Kshetra Gurukshetram.

Goddess Mahishasurmardini can be described as Amit-Prabha i.e. One who extends beyond the universe.

Pratarbalacha Maadhyanhne Yauvanastha Bhavetpunha l
Vruddha Sayam Bhagawati Mahadevyey Namo Namah ll

The above paragraph from Shubhankar Stotra describes the various states of Goddess Mahishasurmardini. At the time of sunrise She appears like a child. At afternoon She appears like a youngster (Tarun). But at the evening She appears calm, composed, and mature like an old woman.

Bapu said even though Her external appearance is extremely angry, always laden with weapons, but still Her love for Her sons and daughters is extremely high. Out of this love Goddess Mahishasurmardini i.e. Goddess Gayatri (Another form of the same Goddess) ordered Her son Lord Parmatma, Lord Mahashesh and Her daughter Goddess Alhadini to expand and develop this universe. She asked Lord Parmatma; to take forms of Lord Mahavishnu, Lord Brahma and Lord Paramshiv and Goddess Alhadini was asked to take form of Goddess Mahalaxmi, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Parvati. Finally the pairs of Lord Mahavishnu - Goddess Mahalaxmi, Lord Brahma - Goddess Saraswati and Lord Paramshiv - Goddess Parvati became heavily functional for their children (the components of the entire universe). Goddess Mahishasurmardini observed that these three pairs are getting extremely overworked while serving this universe. So to give them respite and rest, Goddess Mahishasurmardini with help of Lord Kamdev initiated the spousal feelings in the minds of these pairs and settled them. Finally these pairs became functional as Spousal pairs. This helped the enhancement of feeling of motherhood in the minds of all the three forms of Goddess Alhadini.

Now further they thought that this Admimata does so much for us and Her children then, what like her can we do for our children. So from this they started a Tapascharya so that their earthly human children could experience the love of this Adimata that these three forms of Lord Parmatma and Goddess Alhadini were experiencing. Impressed with their Tapascharya Goddess Adimata appeared Herself before the divine spousal pairs and gave them blessing that whenever they would remember Her, She would manifest Herself instantly. So further, the divine parts demanded that not only us but also when our earthly children remember You, You should manifest Yourself instantly for them. So Goddess Adimata put a condition for Her manifestation, that the bhakti, belief of these humans should be at par with You all and moreover this bhakti and belief of their’s should be continuous process and not a spurt of a moment. The Goddess (forms of Goddess Alhadini) were having a complete idea, that this was not possible, as their human children had become habitual to abusing their freedom (Karma Swatantrya) that was extended to them. So out of this realization and their sheer love towards their humanly children, they requested Goddess Adimata to grant some concessions to the humans even if it meant taking back the blessing given to the divine pairs.

So finally the loving mother, Goddess Adimata relented and gave a rider to the human in the earlier given blessing and said that atleast during the holy month of Shravan whoever would remember Me, You (forms of Goddess Alhadini) or My Sons (forms of Lord Parmatma) with extreme love, I would definitely bless them.

So the holy month of Shravan derives its name from ‘Shravan Bhakti’ meaning Bhakti performed by listening Lord’s name. As a result we can see the idol of the Goddess Mahishasurmardini bearing a conch in one on Her 18 hands and Her head (ear) tilted towards this conch. The conch acts as a receiving station of the Goddess to listen to the chantings of the bhaktas. This is the exact reason why the Aniruddha Upasana Trust organizes the chanting of Ghorkashta Udharan Stotra during the month of Sharavan. So from now on, this festival of Goddess Mahishasurmardini would be celebrated every year, during the same period and would continue for another 2500 years till the Lord Parmatma reappears on the earth to finally destroy it and give it a rebirth.

The details of the schedule of Vajra-Mandal Pujanam of this festival are as follows:

1) Param Poojya Aniruddha Bapu, Param Poojya Nandai and Param Poojya Suchitdada Themselves, together would perform the pujan on Day 1 i.e. 9th August 2009.
2) Param Poojya Samirdada would perform the pujan on Day 2 i.e. 10th August 2009.
3) Respected Swapnilsinh would perform the pujan on Day 3 i.e. 11th August 2009.
4) Respected Paurassinh would perform the pujan on Day 4 i.e. 12th August 2009.
5) Saddya Pipadada, Shri. Appasaheb Dabholkar would perform the pujan on Day 5 i.e. 13th August 2009.
6) Respected Paurassinh would again perform the pujan on Day 6 i.e. 14th August 2009.
7) Respected Swapnilsinh again would perform the pujan on Day 7 i.e. 15th August 2009.
8) Param Poojya Samirdada again would perform the pujan on Day 8 i.e. 16th August 2009.
9) Param Poojya Bapu, Param Poojya Nandai, Param Poojya Suchitdada Themselves, together would perform the pujan on Day 9 i.e. 17th August 2009.

These pujans would be termed as Vajra-Mandal Pujanam and would be performed on the basis of three holy texts namely, Tripura Rahasyam, Matru-Vatsalya-Vindanam, and Durga-Rahasya. The limitations that the Adimata has imposed on Parmatma Trio (Lord Parmatma, Lord Mahashesh and Goddess Alhadini) are called Vajra- Mandal. Shree Yantra (The holy copper plate to which we offer pujan on the Dhantrayodashi Day) is the example of Vajra-Mandal. Lord Parshuram in the presence of Lord Dattatrey first developed this Vajra-Mandal Pujanam. Lord Ram, Lord Lakshman and Goddess Seeta performed the first ever Vajra-Mandal Pujanam of this universe. This pujan was presided over by Lord Hanuman as its Acharya who is one of the forms of Lord Dattatrey. This pujan has 24 parts (Avahanam, Asanam, Padyam, Arghyam, Achamaniam, Snaniyam, Panchamrut-Snanam, Shudhodaka-Snanam, Vastram, Gandham, Akshatanam, Saubhagya-Dravyam, Pushpani, Dhupam, Deepam, Naivedyam, Achamaniam, Sinduram, Kumkumam, Bhushanani, Awahanam Mantram, Mangalya-Sutram, Phalani, Tambulam, Dakshina, Nirajanam and Namaskaram) and 2 sub-parts (Narikel Balidanam, Sura).

So during this period of Mahishasurmardini Utsav the pujan of all these 26 subparts would be performed from 11.00 to 13.30 - 13.45 hrs. During this period darshan would be stopped. The darshan would be made available before and after this period.

648 Manibhadra Kankans would be offered throughout the festival
. (Bangles of Goddess Renuka, Mother of Lord Parshuram). Manibhadra Kankan has a story associated with it. Lord Parshuram was sitting in extremely grief over the death of His Mother Renuka when Lord Dattatrey appeared before Lord Parshuram. Lord Parshuram requested Lord Dattatrey to show Him his mother atleast once to which Lord Dattatrey agreed, but put a condition that Lord Parshuram will not touch Her as she had gone beyond 4th dimension. When Renuka appeared Lord Parshuram could not control Himself and went ahead to kiss His Mother. But because of the pre-condition by Lord Dattatrey, as Lord Parshuram kissed His mother she went back into the earth (crust) and only Her bangle was left with Lord Parshuram. Out of this grief Lord Parshuram began a very stern tapascharya, which lasted over more than 1000 years (from times of Ramayan to the times of Mahabharat). Finally Lord Parshuram offered this bangle to Goddess Adimata. The Manibhadra Kankan that P. P. Bapu would offer during the festival would represent the same kankan described in this story. The kankans would also be put up for sale, which the devotees can buy.

Short Gist of Activities to be Carried in the Festivals (For Entire Details Please Refer Masik Krupasindhu)

108 Divya Vastrams would be offered daily during the festival. The hymn of "Om Namaschandikayey" would be inscribed on every cloth.

The water used during the pujan would be from Panch-Ganga and Godavari.

Madhuparka (a mixture of one bowl of curd, 3 bowls of milk, 3 spoonfuls of ghee, 1 spoonful of honey and 1 spoonful of sugar) would be offered to the Goddess Mahishasurmardini thrice a day after the breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings. Bhavsura (a liquid mixture containing coconut water with a tinge of ginger juice) would also be offered to the Goddess Mahishasurmardini.

P. P. Bapu further said that the ritual of offering liquor and meat to any Goddess is totally wrong. In one of the sub-parts of Vajra-Mandal Pujanam i.e. Narikel Bali a coconut would be sacrificed for the Goddess as an offering. Here this coconut sacrifice signifies that every human being should kill the animals in his life (bad habits and thoughts). The Goddess never expects sacrifice of animals like hens, cocks, goats, buffaloes, etc or even humans (Nar-Bali).

Everyday at 9 pm ‘Shree Chandika-Mangal’ would be recited. At that time ‘Datta-Mangal-Chandika-Stotra’ would be recited. During this recitation some volunteers would shower flowers on the Goddess and after the recitation finishes the same volunteers would offer Lotangan. Then these volunteers would perform aaucktion of Goddess Mahishasurmardini, Goddess Anusaya Mata and Lord Dattaguru with the Shwant Rangadeep. The Trust has prepared 1080 Shwant Rangadeeps for this festival. Every evening 108 Rangadeeps would be offered.

For all the 9 days Hawan-Vidhi would be carried out from Sunrise to Sunset. The Hawan would start with recitation of ‘Swahakar Mantra’. ‘Shubhankar Stotra’ and ‘Ashubhankar Stotra’ would further be recited throughout the day.

As P. P. Sadguru Bapu has already informed us through His earlier discourses that this is the Utsav (festival) of his mother and He has invited all of us for this Utsav. Also while taking darshan Bapu has asked all of us to keep bhav (feeling) and love in our mind that this Goddess Mahishasurmardini is Mother of our Beloved Bapu.

So do come and take the advantage of it to the maximum without giving it a miss.
